Ice Fishing Weekend in the deep forests of middle Sweden.

In the community Älvdalen, in the north of Dalecarlia are a variety of lakes and ponds that harbor trout, char and grayling. There are also excellent water which houses the pike for those who like predator fishing. The ice bed is usually in early December and breaks up in the middle of April. Here's the wilderness far into the corner. The tension is high as you lower down your lure in to the drilled hole in the ice of what might strike at the other end.

day 1
Arrival at the hotel Älvdalen in the evening. Here you check into the rooms and at dinner there is a nice a la carte menu at the restaurant to choose from.

day 2
Buffet breakfast at hotel.
After breakfast, the guide and pick you up in the hotel foyer. The guide will drive you to the bus on the miles of forest road network to a suitable lake or pond for today's fishing. The guide has been with the fishing gear, ice drills and safety for all. Fishing takes place throughout the day and at lunch guide cooks lunch over an open fire. When the daylight fades and darkness begins packing you up and guide will drive you back to the hotel. There is a whirlpool and sauna waiting for you to enjoy where you can discuss the day's experiences.

day 3
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Check-out 12:00.
These days you can do what you want. Perhaps attracts length or alpine skiing. A visit to Porphyry & Hagstrom museum or just be, you decide.
Return home when you wish.
